The guest soloists for this year's performance are Elayne n Provo soClark, prano; Mrs. Beryl Jensen Smiley, former Provoan, distinguished teacher and contralto soloist; Roy L. King, teacher at Spanish Fork High School and performer in the BYU Opera Workshop, tenor; and Richard W. Robinson, BYU teacher and vocalist, bass. Mrs. Clark has studied at Brigham Young University and well-know- starred in several productions of the Utah Valley Opera Association including the first production, "Oklahoma" as well as "Carmen," "Kismet" and "Song of Norway." A specialist, Mrs. Clark is renowned for her many folksong recitalg all over the state. Mrs. Smiley also studied at BYU and remained as a voice teacher for four years. She has appeared with IJie New York Oratorio Society, national radio networks, the Utah Symphony and has sung operatic roles in New York, Chicago and Lake City. Her most recent role was in the Christmas opera, "Amahl and the Night Visitfolk-singi- Salt ors." Mr. Robinson, who teaches at BYU is completLig work on a doctor's degree while on sabbatical leave from Ricks College. He received his bachelor and master degrees in music from the Provo school. He has also studied at Indiana University and has taught in American Fork. He has sung leading roles in opera, oratorio and other musical productions at BYU, Univer.ty of Utah, Indiana and Ricks.
