Mapleton Infant Dies Saturday Saturday Frederick John Richan, 90 of N, 150 E., Provo, died Saturday morning at his residence of , x' causes incident to age. 933 , He was born Sept. 8, 1872, in Salt Lake City, a son of William and Mary Bain Richan. He married Emma Buckley, April 15, 1900, in Provo. Their .marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Richan died in March, 1956. Mr. Richan moved to Pleasant Grove as a youth with his parents, and later to Hailey, Ida. He moved to Provo in 1890. Following his marrjage, Mr. Richan moved to Eureka where he was a hoisting engineer for the Centennial Eureka Mining Company and also served as Eureka city councilman for four years. He moved back to Provo in 1920, where he had since resided. Mr. Richan was employed by the Utah Power and Light Company for 30 years retiring in- 1947 at the, age of 75. , An active member of the LDS Manavu Ward,1 Mr. Church, Richan worked as a ward teacher and in the High Priest's Quorum. He was a member of the O.O F. Provo Lodge and the Provo Senior Citizens Organization. Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Raymond B. Rich- afji, Provo; Fred Richan Jr., San Morcos. Tex. and Mrs. E. B. (Dorothy) Rpdcliffe, Los Angeles; four grandchildren, and five . great-grandchildr- ' en.
