More than 75 comedians and podcasters from around the country will take the stage at Wiseguys and additional locations throughout The Gateway. Already generating buzz, the Golden Spike Comedy & Podcast Festival will be the first festival of its kind in Utah—and promises to draw thousands to downtown Salt Lake City. Wiseguys founder, owner and comedian Keith Stubbs, has booked an impressive lineup for the four-day festival, showcasing a unique mix of some of the best comedic talent working today. The festival will feature renowned comedians like Margaret Cho and T.J. Miller, with live tapings from popular podcasts like The Dollop, About Last Night, and Never Not Funny. It will also feature additional performances by both local and national comedians. “I’ve wanted to pull something like this together for a while, and now that Wiseguys has a downtown location, it felt it was the right time to do it,” says Stubbs. “This festival will give people a chance to see some of the best comedians working today, in venues where there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
