He graduated from South Summit High in 1987 where he was the adored class clown and accomplished athlete. Darrell attended Dixie College, making lifelong friends. In 1991, he married the love of his life Bri- gitte, and they had three amazing children. A true family man and mentor to countless kids he coached over the years, “Doobie” was always on hand to help anyone who needed him. The “Cool Dad” was always willing to be the chauffeur, hung Christmas lights for his mother-in-law every year and was referred to by many as the “Baby Whisperer.” Besides his family, he loved collecting sports memorabilia, being the No. 1 Dallas Cowboys fan and rocking out to Tesla. Darrell had a sense of humor for the ages, and his sharp, dry wit always kept everyone laughing. He was also a gentle and sincere soul who made his family and those around him better. The void left by his passing is immeasurable. Darrell will be profoundly missed. Please join in celebrating a great life, Saturday, Dec. 17.
