The new provision will apply to 1958 and future crops; it does not apply to the 1957 and prior wheat crops. To be eligible to grow up to the 30 acres of wheat without penalty, producers must sign an application showing the intended before disposition of the wheat p the planting time on the farm or Oct. 15, 1957, whichever is later. The application must be approved by the ASC county office. According to the chairman, these applications will be available in ASC county offices soon. If a producer signs up for the exemption provision, under the law the entire crop of wheat must be used on the farm where produced for seed, human food, or livestock and poultry feed. Not more than 30 acres of wheat may be grown on the farm, and nqpe of the wheat may be sold, bartered, or exchanged, nor will K be eligible for price support. The livestock or poultry fed must be owned by the producer, or subsequent owner or operator of the farm.
