FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp TURKEY AND CHICKEN SHOOTS The annual BDAA Turkey and Chicken Shoots will be held, starting start-ing next week-end, October 4th and 5th, with a couple of added attractions to. give every BDAA member a chance to win a fat bird for Thanksgiving. Next Saturday and Sunday, October Oc-tober 4th and 5th, the small bore or .22 rifle shoot will be held at the usual range. A new rule will not allow scope sights, nor a telescope tele-scope of any sort at the small bore target range. No practicing will be allowed at the range on days of the shoot. The big rifle shoot will be held the following week end, . October I I th and 12th. John Lay-cock Lay-cock will again be in charge of the shoot, and will have rules posted at both ranges. Besides the two different shoots, a lucky target shoot will be held, and a drawing, with a card for every member will be held also. This year, every BDAA member will get a chance to win, If you like to shoot, come out to the rifle ranges, if you don't shoot, you still may win in the drawing. MINERS HOST MURRAY The Bingham Miners will open league play at home against Murray Mur-ray in a night grid contest at 8:00 p.m. next Wednesday. Bingham held a strong Ben Lomond eleven to a 6 to 6 tie last week, and played play-ed against the perennial powerhouse power-house Millard yesterday (Thursday). (Thurs-day). After losing their opening practice prac-tice tilt to Orem, the Miners looked very much improved against Ben Lomond, and should figure prominently prom-inently in the league scramble. O |
