The children were shown how to tie them and then did most of teh work. Mrs Edith Allred, took four of the quilts home and stitched the edges: Mrs Owen G. Richardson stitched the other four; Mrs Ann Raia, who assisted for several days: Mrs Crisobel Krebs, who chose the material with Mrs Raia; Mrs Lundgren, mother of Linda Lundgren; and Mrs Jane Flitton, Sandy. Linda Lundgren's grandmother, Mrs Vivian Alexander, assisted, as did Mrs Louie grandmother of Madeline Flitton, and Mrs Ethel Jones, great aunt of Madeline.
