The special speakers were Mr & Mrs Clyde Coon who have filled a work mission to of the Scotland. President stake, Howard W. Barben, spoke of visiting Mr & Mrs Coon in Scotland, when Mr & Mrs Barben were there to bring their daughter Janice, home after she finished a mission in Scotland. He plans to graduate as a medical technician by March. He will be attached to the medical evacuation Unit 104 at Fort Douglas in Salt Lak. Mr Palmer returned from his mission shortly before entering the national guard. A family party was held at the home of Grant's grandfather in Copper-ton- , Raymond Larsen. Besides Mr & Mrs Ross Palmer were Mr & Mrs Arnold Perry, Kearns. Randy Couton is a leading player on the BYU basketball team. Ross Palmer was named a high councilman in the West Jordan stake at conference. Mrs Veona Thompson was named counselor in the stake young ladies MIA to fill the position vacated by Mrs Arlene Steinfeldt, who is moving to Mt. Pleasant. Mr & Mrs John Merlin Jenkins, Ogden, visited their son, Russell Jenkins, and family y last week. Mr & Mrs David Palmer accompanied the Jordan High School A'Capella choir to Salt Lake City for the lighting of Temple Square and the singing of the Tabernacle Choir. The y also attended the production of Amahl and the Night Visitors which was presented at the tabernacle. The South Jordan wards will present Christmas programs in Sunday School and in sacra ment meeting Dec. 19. The stake teen hop held every Saturday night will feature a combo, live music, every second week.
