Furse, president of the Jordan .Valley Day Care and Training Center, a check for $300 to help build a fund to open the center for the mentally handicapped. In making the presentation. President Shurtieff stated, "It is our desire as teachers and educators in Jordan District to show our interest in this very important program by presenting this contribution to launch your fund raising project. We recognize the need for a day care and training center to provide the same opportunities for the mentally handicapped as is given other children. To this end we pledge our support through this gift."
