Mr & Mrs Joseph A. Earl of Salt Lake spent last Wednesday evening visiting with Mrs Annie C. Sorensen. Mrs. Elda Devenish of Fish Haven, Idaho visited with her sister, Mrs Don Swasey and family part of last week and Sunday Mr & Mrs Reed Stokes of Salt Lake and Mr & Mrs Alton Larson and family of Lehi visited at the Swasey home. The marriage of Theron A. Bowles and Miss Sherry LaDean Lloyd, was solomnized in the Salt Lake temple Thursday morning. A reception in their honor was held st the Avalon Ballroom, Thursday evening. Many friends and relatives attended from here.. Theron is the son of Mrs Lillian Bowles, and Miss Lloyd the daughter of Mr & Mrs Gilbert J Lloyd of West Jordan. They are honeymooning at an unrevealed destination Mr & Mrs George Walker had as their guests Friday evening Mr & Mrs L. W. Nielson of Sandy Miss Ann Butterfield entertained Patsy Scouten and Ileen Johnson of Riverton at a skating party last Monday evening. They were accompanied by her brother, Warren Butterfield. Thursday evening Reta Butterfield, daughter of Mr & Mrs Wayne Butterfield and Kenneth Eastman son of Mr & Mrs Harvey Eastman, were graduates at the Jordan seminary graduation. Mrs. Earl Poor entertained in honor of her husband's birthday at a dinner Sunday. Guests included Mr & Mrs Lowel Hamilton and family and Deloy Densley of Riv- erton. and son Woodruff were guests at dinner st the home of Mr & Mrs Sherwood Butterfield Sunday. Mr & Mrs T. Ralph Butterfield, Mr & Mrs Kent Bodell and Mr & Mrs Sherwood Butterfield and Mr & Mrs Don Crane and all the members of the Aaronic Priesthood attended a party at the West Jordan First ward, given by the stake. A program and weiner roast was enjoyed. The Herriman school, under direction of Principle Keith Nosack and Mrs Walter Mabey, went on a May walk Friday to Butterfield Canyon. Mr & Mrs Duane Sanderson and family of Lark have moved here to make their home at present. Mr & Mrs Moyle Dorions and children and Mrs Ellen Butterfield of Salt Lake visited with relatives and friends here Sunday and attended the LDS church ser vice Sunday evening. At the Sunday LDS church ser vice, awards were presented to members of the S. S. Teachers Training class. They included Mrs Cornelia Butterfield, Renee Beck, Mrs Shirley Butterfield, Mrs Edith Newman, Mrs Lorraine Hamilton, Mrs Ruth Dansie, Dayton Crane vad C. E. Oliver. Also a Primary graduation certificate was present ed to Monte Miller by President Grace Walker. Special musical numbers were given by Mrs. Clin ton Dansie of Salt Lake and David Butterfield and Sherman Bodell and Laddie Poor Mrs Clinton Dansie and Miss Betty Rassmussen of Salt Lake were guests at dinner at the A. H. Dansie home Sunday. Others in cluded Mr & Mrs Ernest J. Davis and family of Salem, Ut., and Mr & Mrs Joe Dansie and children of Salt Lake. Mr & Mrs Sherwood Butterfield attended the wedding of Myron W. Allen of Draper and Miss Ileen Graham at the Avalon Ballroom Monday evening. She related the history of the building, and conducted the group through it, where they witnessed students getting actual training in home management g and other skills relating to as a career. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Virginia Benson, Mrs. Genevieve Schmidt, and Mrs Rela Parr. Mr & Mrs A.
