The welcoming speech was given by Darrell Wa'lbeck, student-bodpresident. The program was divided" into four divisions, each designed to show the various activities in which students participate in the differen departments of study. The first division was under direction of the Industrial Arts and A Home Making Departments. demonstration was given of industrial art activities and a fashion show was presented by girls of the home making department. The second division was a panel discussion by the ninth grade social groups. Mary Howlett was chairman of the group. The panel members consisted of Marlon Claudia Cox, Patricia Smith and Sherman Day. Their subject was, " What's Happening in the World of Affairs." The third division was concerned with student activities. Lorna Sjoblom, vice president of the student body was in charge. Others who assisted were Darrel Walbeck, Janice Smith, Arva Smipson, Kent Smith, Gary Close, Judith Nielson and Marilyn Gordon. The fourth division was under direction of the music department. This included all the music interspersed throughout the program, which included two choruses, a concert trio, a saxaphone quintet and a eirl s quartet. Prayers were given by Evelyn Day and Ronald tmitn. Presentation of the traditional art piece to the school was the last thing on the program. This was under direction of Evan Madsen and the Art Committee which in eluded Barbara Allen, Gary Close and Deeda Van Detta. - J.
