Show their home in Provo. The George Thaxton family motored to Logan Saturday to attend a birthday celebration for their daughter, Mrs Howard Peterson. Those making the trip were Mr & Mrs George Thaxton, Mr & Mrs Bryce Thomas of Salt Lake, Mr & Mrs Reed Thaxton and children, d Mr & Mrs Earl Maynard and Ted Thaxton, all of Riverton. Mrs Carpenter is the former Miss Opal Bills, daughter of Mr & Mrs Cyrus Bills of Riverton. Mr & Mrs Emery Berrett and children, acompanied by Mr & Mrs Harold Berrett, drove to Heber City. Sunday and visited at the home of Mr & Mrs LaMar Berrett Mrs Glen B Miner left Friday for Long Beach, Calif., where she will visit at the home of Dr & Mrs Mark Miner, and also at the home of Dr & Mrs Donald Markham. Both doctors are brothers-in-laof Mrs Miner, and are practicing dentistry in Long Beach. Robert Held has made three recent trips to Montana to get Christmas trees for the Salt Lake City street decorations. Mrs Helt accompanied him on his last trip. Grant Goodrich, football star on the University of Utah team this year, asked his uncle, George Thaxton of Riverton, to occupy his father's place on the bench at the Thanksgiving game, and wear his number. Grant's father is dead, so he asked his uncle to take his place. Ainu Olsen of American Fork, and Sam Olsen of Pleasant Grove were Thanksgiving visitors at the Mark Nichols home. Alma Olsen is Mrs Nichols' father, and Sam Olsen is her uncle. Mr & Mrs S F Stephensen left Saturday for Vallejo, Calif, where they spent Thanksgiving at the home of their son and daughter-in-law- , Mr & Mrs Max Stephesen and their four children. Mr & Mrs Elias Butterfield arrived home Monday from Detroit, Mich., where they went to get a new car. They report that they had a wonderful trip and did quite a bit of sightseeing along the way.
