Arnold and dau-ghter and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Arnold all of Granger, Mr. and Mrs. Reed S. Arnold and family of Denver, Colo., Mr, and Mrs. Jack Williams and daughter of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Ben McAllister and family of Copperton. Special guests were Miss Jean Ivy of Hunter and Nor-man W. McAllister of Richland, Wash. A lovely dinner was served and games were played. Jay and Lynetto Forman of Her-rima- n spent Thursday and Friday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ray. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ray had as dinner guests on Father's Day Sun- - PARTY AT COPPERTON WARD TONIGHT TO HONOR OUTGOING BISHOPRIC Friday, July I (tonight) will be a special evening at Copperton LDS Ward. At 7:30 p.m. the past bishopric of Copperton Ward will be honored and all previous bishops will be special guests. Every adult and senior Sunday School member of the ward is invjted to attend this special program which will be held, after which there will be re-freshments and a social. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Chadwick of West Jordan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Chadwick Monday evening. Copperton Ward two Beehive groups Gatherers and Guardians - spent Tuesday all night in ld Canyon. Those attending were Mrs. Eva McAllister, Norma Jean Boulton, Ann Stocks, Virginia McAllister, Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Chadwick and granddaughter, Shauna Dickinson, Joan Arritola, Janice Nix, Marjorie Garrett, Clau-dia Long, Christine Winn, Sheri Olsen, LaDcan Robison and her niece. A delightful time was had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Colesh and children. Vickv and Valori. of Salt Mr. and Mrs. Miles Caythwaite entertained Tuesday evening to welcome home Mrs. Gaythwaite's niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Malone and family, Jessica, Kathy and Peter who are visiting here from Chicago, 111. Mrs. Malone will be remembered as the former Sally McAllister. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ross and Betsy and Mr. and Mrs. William Ablett. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike enter-tained with a dinner at their home Monday in honor of their guests Mr. and Mis. M N. Furlow and family. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. J. A Fike and son, Steven, Mr. and Mrs. Tory Tobiason and Rube Cunliffo and son, David. Mrs. William D. Kidd and dau-ghter, Ruth Claire, spent Tuesday evening in Kearns visiting neph-ew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wil-liam L. KiJd and later attended a Tupper party. Virginia McAllister left yester-day (Thursday) with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Arnold for Denver, Colo., to stay with her cousins Kathleen and Susan Arnold for about ten days. Guy Delia Lucia left early Tues-day morning from Salt Lake City by jet plane for Frassene, Italy, to visit his sister whom he hasn't seen in 30 years, and her family. day Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Forman and family of Herriman and Bev-erly Ray of Salt Lake City. Susan Arnold of Denver, Colo., spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Virginia McAllister. Pvt. Robert Arnold of Fort Ord, Calif., came home for his parents, Mr. and Mr. John S. Arnold's 25th wedding anniversary and left after-wards for Fort Jackson, So. Car. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Poulaen and Kathy and Mr. and Mrs. John Poul-se- n of Midvale spent Saturday fish-ing at Mirror Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bononcini entertained at dinner Wednesday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ross and daughter Betsy, who are visit-ing here from Rye, N.H. and Mr. and Mrs. William Ablett. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ray - were dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Stan-ley DeLeshe of Sandy Tuesday. Norman W. McAllister of Rich-land, Wash., is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Bon McAllister. He will be here about two weeks. Mrs. Ben McAllister and Virginia visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John S. Arnold and family and attended church at Taylorsville Second Ward where their son Elder John Brent Arnold was a speaker. Vioiting last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike were Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Furlow and sons, Robert, Richard and Roy from San Diego, Calif. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike were Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Furlow and family of San Diego, Mrs. Maude O'Gcrman and Miss Louise Kurz of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jukes, Mrs. Bob Sanders and children end Mrs. Gladys O'Connor of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Cowdcll and daughters of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Da-vis and family of Midvale, Bill Fike, Joan Fike and Doug Tall. Saturday a luncheon was held at Ft. Douglas Country Club hostessed by Mrs. Gladys O'Connor. Guests were Mrs. Maude O'Gorman, Miss Louise Kurz, Mrs. M. N. Furlow, Mrs. Bert Jukes, Joan Fike, Mrs. Marion Cowdell, Mrs. Kenneth Davis, Mrs. J. A. Fike and Mrs. W. A. Fike. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ray were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hen-ry Jensen of Midvale Thursday. Lake City and Mr. end Mrs. Max Ivie and children, Kathy and Brent, of Murray visited Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp. Dennis Daley, son of Mrs. Mer-rily- n Bolton Daley, had his tonsils out Monday and is getting along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Malone and three children, Jessica, Kathy and Peter, from Chicago, 111., spent the day and were luncheon guests Wed-nesday at the Ben McAllister home. Mrs. Renna Coleman and Mrs. Merlin Coleman and two children of Midvale visited last Friday with Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp. Susan Berrett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Berrett, celebrated her fifth birthday Wednesday, June 29. Several friends attended the party given in her honor. Later in the evening others visiting in honor of the occasion were Glenda and Paula Poulsen, Mr. and Mrs. Mont Bishop and family of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Berrett of Riverton. The La Mar Berrett family wiill move to Orem Saturday, July 2. The house they expect to occupy was not completed when originally expected and as a result they have spent two additional weeks in Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. Rex B. Garrett vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Dahl of Midvale last Friday evening. M. M. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Greene and Supzanne and Mr. and Mrs. William D. Another 75 employees who drive company staff automobiles will complete a five-ho- training course this week at the Utah Slate Fair-grounds. The course includes classroom instruction, time reaction tests, visual and depth perception tests, written examination and an actual dri-vin- test including an obstacle course. The driving test wa conducted on the regular test course of the state' drivers license bureau at the state fairgrounds. The obstacle course was set up independently. The course is being conducted by the Division's safety department under direction of E. K. Olson, Jr., director of safety. Instructors are: Ken Simper, Ross Pino, R. L. EricJc-se- n, W. R. Hansen, and Tom Pinder, safety engineers. .. .
