The timeline progression of this band is not unique until compared to the ages of its members. The Donnas began as Ragedy Anne in 1992 at a Palo Alto middle school after no girls had signed up for the lunch-timband show. They released their first single at the spritely age of fourteen and changed their name to The Electrocutes. The girls had begun playing local shows when they met musician Darrin Raffelli. Ke became a fan and suggested they try some of his songs as a side project enter The Donnas. Raffelli wrote or their LP of first singles, and much the second album, American Teenage Rock N Roll Machine. In 1999, The Donnas released Get Skintight, followed by The Donnas Turn 21 in 2001 on Lookout! Records. The recently legal quartet has toured much of the United States and Australia, and has attempted Europe in its seven years together.
