The literacy program in Lehi is in its second year and has met with success due in large part to the devotion of Rippy to this cause. The center has been supported by other leaders in the community and has just recently undergone expansion with a new larger center at the Lehi Arts Building on 685 North Center. The LDS North Stake Sego Lily and 11th Wards donated 105 new gently used chairs. Dr Ed Green of BYU donated room dividers. There are three new computers and 16 new tables. New signs and new carpet dress up the large room. The Mayor and the City Council have brought about new facilities and services for state-of-the-a- rt the center," said Rippy. "We now have a more extensive and trained group to evaluate the students and monitor their progress." Due to the extended facilities, they have openings for students and tutors for each class period. At the Literacy Center at 685 North Center, the sessions are on Monday at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. and and Thursday Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the hour.
