Show Lehi Free Press New Utah! - Wednesday, September 2, 1998 - Page 6 Church News Saratoga Springs Ward created from division of Lehi 13th Ward With the creation of the new Saratoga Springs LDS Ward, was Gilbert Fellingham released as bishop of the Lehi 13th Ward and sustained as bishop of the new ward. Trent Jackson and James Atherley were named as counselors to Bishop Fellingham, with Keith Jex named as executive secretary; Timothy Taylor as ward clerk, and Scott Kahn and Mark Lindsay as assistant clerks. Bishop Fellingham received from a Ph.D. in the University of Washington and is a professor at Brigham Young University. He has served as a member of the high council and president of the Young Men's organization, as well as counselor in a bishopric. The son of Warren and Marian Fellingham, now of Lehi, he is married to the former Paula Noble; the couple has seven children and one grandchild. In his spare time, he enjoys volleyball and swimming. V. Trent Jackson, first coun- selor to Bishop Fellingham, was born in Kanab. He and his wife, Cynthia, have five children. He is vice president of investments at Piper, Jaffray, Inc. He has previously served as scoutmaster and second counselor in both the bishopric and Elder's Quorum. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing and playing Scrabble. James Atherley, a native of Spanish Fork, is the owner of Boss Seats in Pleasant Grove, a manufacturer of snowmobile parts and accessories. He and his wife, Amanda, also from Spanish Fork, have three sons. He has previously served as a Primary and Sunday School teacher and in the Scouting program. He served a mission in San Diego, Calif, and was serving as Teacher's Quorum advisor at the time of his call to the bishopric. Murray native Keith Jex, now retired from working as principal of an elementary school, now operations his own mink farm. He and his wife, Yvonne, have three children and eight grandchildren. He has served as High Priest dent and assistant executive secretary. J. Scott Kahn, owner of Diamond First Mortgage, is a graduate of Weber State. He and his wife, Layne, have three children. He has previously served in the Elder's Quorum and Young Men's presidencies. Mark Lindsay, director of sales for PowerQuest Corp., was called to serve as assistant clerk for membership. A native of Salt Lake, he and his wife, Suzanne, have five children. He has previously served as Gospel Doctrine teacher and second counselor in the Young Men's organization. IeW 13th Ward reorganized With the reorganization, Dallas Scott Anderson, former counselor to Bishop Fellingham, was sustained as bishop or the Lehi 13th Ward. Kenneth Webb and Bob Richardson were selected as counselors, with Lane Broad-heanamed as executive secretary and Bill Freeland, Ed Stevens and Kent Bailey as d late Shirley Anderson, the new bishop is married to the former Cari Broadhead, also of Lehi, the daughter of Rex and Char-len- e Broadhead; they have one daughter. Bishop Anderson is a pipe fitter with Gunther's Comfort Air in American Fork, and in his spare time, he enjoys roping steers and spending time with his family. In addition to serving as a counselor in the bishopric, he has also served on the High Council. Lehi native Kenneth Webb, son of R. Ward and Thelma Webb, also of Lehi, is as a farmer. He enjoys riding and training horses. He and his wife, Kathryn, have 11 children and six grand- Magnusson called to serve mission in Chile group leader, ward clerk and assistant clerk. He enjoys fishing, hunting, boating and camping. Timothy L. Taylor comes to Utah County from Rexburg, Idaho. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters. Taylor, an attorney for Saratoga Springs Development, enjoys playing golf. He has previously -- imrn-"- --n children. Prior to his call to the bishopric, he served as Sunday School teacher, Elder's Quorum president and as a member of the High Council. Bob Richardson, a sales manager for the Les Olson Company's Utah County opera- ' t tion, is a 1981 graduate of Brigham Young University. He and his wife, Angela, have three daughters. In his PrimaryYM andYW spare time, he enjoys fishing, 2:00 p.m. Sunday School roping, playing basketball and 2:50 p.m. Sacrament Meeting riding horses. Bill Freeland, originally from San Diego, Calif, was named as the ward clerk in the new ward. He and his wife, Judy, have five children. as a general 1:00 a.m. Sacrament Meeting contractor, he spends his time 12:20 p.m. Sunday School either at work or "hauling kids :20 p.m. PriesthoodRelief Society to rodeos." He has previously served as both teacher and PrimaryYM and YW clerk in various organizations. Fillmore native Edward Stevens was named as financial clerk. He and his wife, the former Susan Hardy, daughter of Fred and Edna Hardy of Lehi, have four daughters. He works as a mechanic for Alpine School District and enjoys woodworking in his spare time.
