Show Outdoor concert slated at Sundance ' By Brian Brinkerhoff Outdoors Correspondent Acoustic music lovers will the concert scheduled for Saturday June 6 at 7 p.m. Located at the Theater in the Pines, along the Alpine Loop, this Forest Acoustic Festival will include numerous musicians including Jake White and his double neck guitar, bagpipers, bass, and fiddle players. In this pristine location, participants promise it will be one of the finest outdoor concerts of the summer season. Featuring acoustic guitarist Jake White, listeners can look forward to enjoy hearing several favorites including, All Strings Attached, Pocatello, A Dream of Mine, and Golonthla's Dream. White specializes in innovative acoustic guitar technique and has taught master guitar workshops with David Wilcox & Martin Simpson! His 1996 CD, All Strings Attached, is a recording full of innovative guitar compositions as well as ensemble and vocal pieces. Currently performing almost exclusively within Utah, his next anticipated release, scheduled for fall of 1998, will be titled, The True Roads of Life. Tickets sell for $5 at the entrance, covering area rental fees. Music lovers are encouraged to arrive early to obtain the best seating locations and bring a jacket for the cool evening temperatures. Before the concert begins, lis- teners may want to take a few short hikes enjoy the spectacular beauty of the area. Nearby hiking destinations include spectacular waterfalls and wildflow-ernow beginning to show their s, faces.
