Lehi will face Wasatch this week, then host the Park City Miners next week for Homecoming. 28-2- Cross country preps to host Lehi meet race. Running with an injury, Rachel Watkins was able to still improve her time and finished with a 21:31 and fifth of the team runners. Tiffany Russell is emerging as one of the most improved runners on the team, taking almost two minutes off last year's Murray race with a 22:19 finish. Kassey Korous finished with a time of 22:29 and Natalie Richins came in with a time of 23:17. Jake Dorton came in first for the boys varsity team with a time of 16:09, which put him 34th overall out of 202 participants. Eric Lew's quiet persistence and dedication put him in second place for the varsity team with a time of 18: 16. Eric has been running consistently and is looking stronger every meet. Newcomers Nate Harris, with a time of 18:37, Jon Olson at 19:45 and Bill Rangitsch, with a time of 21:20, each took off about two minutes or more from their previous races. Jake Terry intercepted a Spanish Fork pass and ran it back to the 35 yard line. Another fumble on the first snap gave Spanish Fork the ball. The Dons scored on a pass but failed the two point conversion attempt. After kickoff and trading of possessions, an interception by Pioneer Rett Sage on an attempt to score by the Dons gave Lehi the ball, but time ran out before they could score. In the third quarter, Spanish Fork got another touchdown on a fourth down pass and the conversion was good, making the score 27-- 7 going into the fourth quarter. Bryce Cutler intercepted a Spanish Fork pass but Lehi was unable to score. Success was on the Dons' side as they scored another touchdown and the PAT was good, making the score a dismal 34-But with 30 seconds left in the game, a pass from Trent Colledge to Andy Hadfield in the corner of the end zone made the score The PAT was no good.
