Lucille was born in Riverton on ir.Oct. 4, 1916 to Thomas B. and si lary Andersen Lloyd. She grew up ii qn the family farm and attended bvschools in Riverton and Jordan aiiftigh. qi. f In June 1993, she married J. Albert Brooks in Salt Lake City. Vhe marriage was solemnized a ievear later in the Salt Lake LDS -- N'V:.' -- grams and dances. For years Old Folks groups were recipients of the Honky Tonk piano styles of the Brooks Band. Lucille is an active member of the LDS Church and continues to enjoy attending her meetings. She is the mother of six children: Mrs. Dan (Beverly) Evans, Grand Junction, Colo.; Ralph (Sandy) Brooks, Levan; Lloyd (Linda) Brooks, Lehi; Norman (Vera) Brooks, Lehi; Mrs. Kenneth (Connie) Grace, Lehi; and Nolan (Marie) Brooks, Highland. She has 25 grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren. Flu, pneumonia vaccinations to be given Monday, October 7 -- Flu, pneumonia shots Flu shots and pneumonia shots will be offered in the annual vaccination clinic, which will be held on Monday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. until noon at the center. The charge for the vc-- r irations will be $7 for the flu shot and $14 for the pneumonia shot. If all seniors bring their Medicare cards, the center will bill Medicare and everyone will be reimbursed. In addition to seniors, anyone considered to be "at risk" is invited to participate in the clinic. No appointment is necessary. Lunch will be catered by Mellor's at noon today and will cost $2' per person instead of the regular donation. Reservations must be made by Friday, Oct. 4. She married Ashley Nelson, who is deceased. She is one of eight brothers and sisters, all of whom are living. Two sisters were able to spend some time with Virlie on her birthday, Maxine Black and Aleda Shari Jean Bone to marry Michael L. Jackson Friday Shari Jean Bone, daughter of S. Bone and the late John Lloyd Bone, will marry Michael L. Jackson, son of Robert LeRoy and Mildred Jackson of Payson, on Jean Oct. 4. Virlie has spent the 13 years working at the Provo Temple, loving every minute. Her family reports that she is a happy, smiley person and loves life. ' Ward Church. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 1, 1946. They have lived in Alpine all their married life. LaVar was born in Alpine and has lived there most of his life. He attended schools in Alpine, American Fork and Heber City. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He served as M.I.A. Superintendent and worked for several years in the Cub Scout and Scouting programs. He held the position of ward clerk under six bishoprics. He was elected and served as an Alpine City Councilman for four years. He was employed at Geneva Steel for 40 years before retiring. Dixie was born in Cedar City, attending school there and in Provo. She enjoyed many years on the Planning City Alpine Commission. She was PTA president for Alpine Elementary. She served in various leadership positions in Primary, M.I.A. and Relief An open house will be held in their honor that same evening from 6:30 to 8 at the Lehi 12th G 2O-3- 0 Dixie and LaVar Strong Society.
