Show Free Press - Wednesday, November 29, 1995 - Page 6 New bishopric named in Lehi 20th Ward By MARGE DAVIS Stake Director Affairs of Public Micheal D. Hansen was sustained as the new bishop of the Lehi North Stake 20th Ward on Sunday, Nov. 12, under the direction of President Roger Merrill, who presided at the meeting. David Robinson was named as his first counselor, Scott Barker second counselor, Kent Secretan executive secretary and Randy Bateman ward clerk. Former bishop Jon Larsen and his counselors, Alan Parker and Don Parry, and executive secretary Brent Davis were released with a vote of thanks. Bishop Hansen, who had been serving on the North Stake High Council, has lived in Lehi most of his life. He and his wife, Kathleen Johnson of Pleasant Grove, have been married 30 years and have six children. He attended the College of Southern Utah and currently works at Enviro Tech in Salt Lake City. David They have been married 21 years and have three children, two of whom are attending BYU. He is employed by the Utah National Guard in Draper. Scott Barker filled a mission to England-Londo- n after which he attended UVSC. He and his wife, Sheri Byington, and their four children moved back to Lehi about one year ago. He operates a decorative concrete lawn border business out of his home in Lehi. Kent Secretan was raised in Pleasant Grove and filled a misg sion to where he met his future wife, Lavonne Friday. Following his mission, they courted and were married while attending BYU. They now have three children. He works at Peck Building Supply in Canada-Winnipe- Lehi. Randy Bateman was raised in Ibapah, Utah and married Tracie Tripp of Lehi. They have lived in Lehi the past eight years and have four children. Erin Carter: 'Work hard, but find time to party' Pioneer Erin Carter, a served in all her class presidencies, received the fourth year camp certificate, and served as a camp leader for two years. She is currently working on the Young Women's Recognition award. In community activities, Erin organized the Highland Fling baby contest last year. She has also participated in community plays and was a participant in this year's Highland Jr. Miss pageant. Erin's hobbies include working with computers, sewing, and riding She also finds time to work part time at Media Play in Orem. Erin's philosophy regarding life is, "work hard, but find time to party." and fun-lovi- full of energy senior at LHS, is this week's Pioneer Profile. She is the daughter of Marshall and Trudy Carter of Highland. In school activities, Erin serves as debate team president. She has also held the offices of vice president, policy captain, National Forensic League (NFL) recorder, and activity director for the debate team. Lettering three years in debate, she has also qualified for state in LD and high NFL points. Erin also serves as an editor for the school newspaper, where she has lettered for three years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Lehi High Seminary Council. Erin's numerous awards include Profile By BRENDA T. PETERSON the National English Merit Award, drama achievement awards, and receiving nominations for National Young Leaders Conference, and Who's Who Among American High School Students. While taking advanced placement classes in English Language, history, and government and politics, Erin maintains a 3.998 grade point of the Highland 13th ward, Erin has SANTA. It was quite remarkable to see the halls, which generally fill up every period without any trouble, become empty so quickly right after school. The vacation was obviously a needed one. We Pioneers came for only Monday and Tuesday last week, and were rewarded with the ' lengthy weekend.
