Show AE Symphony to start rehearsals The first rehearsal for the American. Fork Symphony's 1995-9- 6 season will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 8 a.m. in the American Fork Junior High School Auditorium, 1120 N. 20 West in American Fork. The Symphony is sponsored by the American Fork Arts Council. All members are urged to attend to learn the details of the new season's concerts and rehearsals. Performance interviews for new members will be held on Thursday evening, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at the American Fork Junior High, and also at the first rehearsal. There are openings in the bass and cello sections especially, but players on all the stringed instruments are welcome. Woodwind and brass players are invited to audition and will be accepted pending positions available. Merrilee Barratt will direct the chorus for the "Messiah" performance. Chorus members are needed and vocalists are invited to join. For information call Mrs. Barratt at Any Utah composers, especially from Utah County, who would like their works considered for performance on the April concert should contact Dr. Childs. The American Fork Symphony is funded by American Fork City, the Utah Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Percussion players familiar with the mallet instruments as well as the standard percussion are sought also.
