Wednesday, August 23, 1995 - Page 8 Communitv CaBendar Boosters, players make improvements at LHS By TRACY WILSON Eleven fathers and sons donated much of their Saturday last week to a project at the Lehi High School tennis courts which has needed attention for many years. Members of the LHS Booster Club and students of Lehi High filled in a four-foarea surrounding the four tennis courts in preparation for an asphalt apron to be poured yesterday (Tuesday). Brent Dorton, president of the ot LHS Booster Club, along with Johnny Barnes, Gary Vanderhoef and Jan Felix, worked alongside Stayton Barnes, Tyler Hobbs, Bryon Glathar, Chris Showcroft, Bret Chamberlain, Nick Barnes and Jacob Dorton with shovels, rakes and a front-enloader in the heat of the day to bring this project to a completion. Cost of the service project to the club will be $3,000 since Geneva Rock agreed to do what they could to keep costs down. Tony Christofferson, an alumnus of LHS, was very instrumental in making this good price possible. Currently the Booster Club is in its annual membership drive and projects and service efforts are underway for the 1995-9- 6 school year. Dorton reminds LHS patrons that the club is not just for athletics as it has also contributed to the growth and improvement of many departments at the school. d Church Mew llilffllllllililllllit ' Bryon Worthen called to serve lip in Guatemala Hi I V Elder Jared Jex Jared Jex returns from Planning NEW ARRIVALS JUVENILE FJbS?CE jgS JUVENILE CALICO SOLID FLANNEL QUILT i.
