Club will meet - Seats still available for Seniors Rose Parade Tour There is still a limited number of seats available for the North Utah County Senior Citizens Rose Parade Tour. The group will leave December 27, 1994, andreturn January 3, 1995. The tour will have front row seats for the spectacular Rose Parade, plus a variety of other quality Los Angeles area activities. The group will also see a live presentation of "Me and My Girl" at the Lawrence Welk Resort Theater. The eight-daseven-nigtour also includes eight full meals, with overnight stops each way in Las Vegas. In the Los Angeles area, there will be just one hotel which minimizes packing and unpacking. Atkinson Edna Schvanaveldt Atkinson, 92, Clarkston, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1994 at Logan Regional Hospital. She was born April 1, 1902 in Weston, Franklin County, Idaho, a daughter of Erastus and Hannah May Phillips Schvanaveldt. She married William Thomas Atkinson Nov. 24, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in January 1977. She grew up in Weston and received her education in Franklin county schools and graduated from the BYC in Logan. Following her marriage, they made their home in Clarkston where she has lived since. She always had a large garden and a well kept yard and was known for her lovely home. She was also known for her pie making and handwork and gave them to friends, neighbors and relatives. She was a friend to all and she returned her friendship by giving her handwork. She taught crocheting and loved to make dolls. American Fork, the daughter of Joseph Dunn Sarah and Steele Shelley. She gradufrom ated American Fork High School as 4 -- if j Valedictorian. She attended Comptometer School in Salt gardening charter and dues will be established with the new year at the January meeting. The December meeting will feature a slide presentation of holiday and historical interest. The club will cater to a wide field of interests dependent upon the needs of the members. Objectives are to include conservation and environmental issues with typical club activities. Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. in the Veterans By-law- Memorial Building, 53 N. Center Street, American Fork. At their inaugural meeting in October were interested individuals from Lehi, American Fork and Pleasant Grove. The name Timpanogos was decided on as a name which encompasses all of the northern end of the county. It is hoped other parties from neighboring cities will attend like-minde- d s, As an active member of the LDS Church, she had taught in the Primary and served as Primary president and was a Relief Society visiting teacher for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Clarkston and a faithful members of the Senior Citizens for many years. Survivors include three children and their spouses: Dean and Marilyn Atkinson of Clarkston; Lynn and Clarie Atkinson of Preston, Idaho; Rex and Jane Atkinson of Lehi; 18 38 greatgrandchildren; two sisters: Norma Godfrey of Logan and LaRee and Hugo Bauerle of Roy. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vera Mae Tippets. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 4, in the Clarkston Ward Chapel. Burial was in the grandchildren; Clarkston Cemetery. She was an ordinance worker at the Salt Lake Temple for 40 years. She was a member of the Estalami Society and the DUP. She did genealogical work for many years, taking two short trips to England where she met four sixth cousins. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Velma Shelley, Ida Shelley, Mary Jane Chadwick, Nettie Shelley, Ella Shelley, and two brothers, Edward Dunn Shelley and Milton George Shelley. She is survived by one niece, Donna Shelley, and one grand-niec- Mindwell tions. Her many interests included camping, sewing, singing and working in her yard among her roses. Mina was a dear, wonderful woman who devoted her life to her family, instilling in them the love and strength she possessed. Much of the happiness in her life was provided by her grandchildren. She was a model of pride, courage and determination for everyone who knew her. She is survived by her children: Jay (Connie) Chilton, Honolulu, Hawaii; Rolene (Norm) Crandall, Salt Lake City; Renee (Eldon) Edgar, Ogden; Kayla Messersmith, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 27 a brother, Glen (Violet) Varney, American Fork. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, six brothers, four sons and three daughters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary. Burial was in the Lehi (Mina) Varney Chilton, our mother, the greatest, died Nov. 4, 1994. She was born March 15, 1901 in American Fork to George and Emiline (Libby) Varney. She carried with her a special for feeling American Fork and Lehi where 1 she spent her '4 youth an dm any years of her life. Her forefather, Washburn Chipman, helped settle American Fork and she took great pride in her pioneer stock. After losing a newborn and four children to meningitis within three weeks, her strength and tenacity enabled her to raise five children basically on her own. She worked at Dugway Proving Grounds, retiring in 1962. Mina was a member of the LDS Church with deep spiritual con vie- - Clinics are being held on Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Orem Shopko, 125 South State, Orem; on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Provo ShopKo, 955 North University Parkway; and on Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Shopko, 955 North Main, Spanish Fork. Frampton, Lehi; Robert McKay Frampton, Pleasant Grove; Gary W. Frampton, Lehi; 53 grandchildren; 49 two sisters: Mildred Allen, Pleasant Grove; Lois Powell, Orange, Calif.; two brothers: Howard C. of son a Raymond and Margaret Matthews He Frampton. married Berniece Pearl Boulter Dec. 7, 1933 in Pleasant Grove. They n; f later divorced. He married Beth Wadley May 15, 1946 in Pleasant Grove. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She died Sept. 20, 1984. He married Reva C. Warburton Sept. 19, 1987 in Pleasant Grove. He was a member of the LDS Church holding the office of High Priest in the Pleasant Grove 16th were Pleasant Grove; Frampton, Orem. He was preceded in death by twobroth-ers- , Nyle and Eugene Frampton. Also surviving are Beverly Francom, Keith Warburton and Dale Warburton, all of Pleasant Grove; Betty Mikkelson, Las Vegas, Nev.; Jill Hill, Vancouver, Wash.; Verlene Heath, Boise, Idaho. Services were held Monday, Nov . 7, in the Pleasant Grove 16th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Frampton, Franklin step-childre- n: Ward. He had been employed at Geneva Steel in the open hearth for 34 years. He loved music, loved to B. hunt, e, Lake City, worked at Auerbach and Strevell Patterson's for a few years, then at the Federal Reserve Bank in Salt Lake City for 40 years. She was active in the LDS Church, fulfilled a mission in the Eastern States, worked in the Sunday School in American Fork and the Relief Society in Salt Lake City.
