Show Citizen, Press, Review - Wed., March 11, 1992 - Page 13 Free parenting seminar Parents from the Alpine School District are invited to a free seminar this Saturday to help them hone their skills and help their families. Three parenting specialists will be on hand at American Fork Junior High School, 20 W. 1120 North, to present the workshops. They will be held in the auditorium, west of the flagpole on the south side of the building. Parents may attend for the entire day or just single classes. Registration is from 8:45 to 9 a.m. "Positive SelfEsteem" is the topic for the 9 a.m. workshop, with "Goals of Misbehavior" scheduled for 9:55. "Drug Abuse Prevention" will be presented at 11 a.m. and "Communication Skills" is at 1 p.m. The final two sessions will be "Discipline is not a four letter word" at 1:55 p.m. and "School Success" at 3 p.m. Following the workshops, there will be a brief evaluation session. There will be a lunch break from noon to 1 p.m. Parents need to provide their own lunches as none will be available at the school. The three parenting specialists Dr. R. Craig Pace, Nancy Anderson and Joyce Sheya. They havo been traveling throughout the state presenting various seminars for schools and regional PTA's. This is the only time they will be in Utah County this year. Pace specializes in teens and marriage relationships. He is the author of "Individualized Parenting" and "Negotiation: Solving the Stickiest Problems Easily." Anderson is a noted television teacher and most recently served on the writing committee for the IDS ChurchFamilyHomeEvening Resource Manual. Their group, Laodicea, has been called an upcoming dynamic duo that is taking the entertainment world for a spin. Pierce and Blackburn are excited to return to their home town after performing in many cities throughout the west, including Las Vegas. The concert is a combination of song, special effects, closed circuit television and personality. cshd 378-387- Anne of Green Gables Lehi High School's presentation of L.M. Montgomery's enduring classic "Anne of Green Gables" will open Friday evening, March 13. This adaption of Twain's classic story of the American boy, was written by Michael Goodman, author of the well-know- n Halloween comedy "Hotel Frankenstein."
