"Hotel has monsters galore who are scary one minute and have you roaring with laughter the next. It is a seasonal favorite that returns to the Playhouse every October. It was written by Michael Goodman and was made into a movie in 1980. The story takes place in the castle of Dr. Frankenstein, played by Peter Van Orman. The Dr. has advertised his castle as a vacation retreat, secretly hoping to find a new brain for his monster. But, the only family who shows up are the Woodknockers, and the brain pickings are pretty slim among this ArtsEntertainment et bunch. The final scene is guaranteed to send you from the theater howling with laughter, or fear, or maybe both. "Hotel" is a comedy suitable for all ages (5 and over). A prize will be given for "Best Costume" worn by a patron at each performance. The performances are Friday, Saturday, and Monday at 7:30 p.m. through Nov. 4.
