Of course there's also a computer disk tree, a Scotty dog tree, a purple penguin tree and one completely decorated with crayons. If you can think of it, you can probably find it on a tree there. In fact, there was just about a tree of every description at the 1985 annual Festival, at Salt Palace II from Dec. 4 through 7. Trees of every color and every size abound. I saw red trees, green trees, blue ones, white and silver trees. Trees decorated with gingerbread men ('Can't Catch Me" tree from the 2nd District Juvenile Court), little ("Shepherd's sheep Dreaming"), rabbits and magic hats ("Christmas Magic",) crystal angels, feathered owls, festive clowns, dolls and lacey straw hats. There was a wedding tree wrapped in tulle. There's so much creative expression; trees full of crocheted snowflakes that must've taken all year to do and needlepoint villages around the bottoms that just are beyond belief. And this year, they had my kind of tree; two of them. The one with money folded into paper angels and fans and the other decked completely with Hershey bars. I COLD CUTS ai V' .11.
