This presentation is for hunters, campers, people who work in the cold, or anyone who has had cold winter. Main 756-318- 1 It's rare indeed to see a live done with such polish performance and humor that an audience is brought to its feet applauding and cheering. And even more rare when you realize that most of the audience drove more than a hundred miles to see the show at hand. The Shakespearean Festival boasts such a show. "The Taming of the Shrew" performed at Cedar City College during the 1984 summer run of the festival is magnificent, warm and witty. I'm not even a Shakespeare buff and I don't endorse the "wife shall obey her Lord" rhetoric, but I still loved the show. and the speech was century something I just met. The characters, every one of them, were played with precision I !'. and fUBr Katherine' ' is " bawdy, :i loud and harsh, yet somehow just a tinge wistful, and likeable. Bianca is so sweet and beautiful that it's easy to sympathize with her sister against her. Petruchio is dashing and handsome and totally believable as he tames his new bride. And the costuming is a show in itself; the color, the authenticity, the. craftmanship and beauty is exciting and fresh. Anyone who hasn't yet caught a Festival production should.
