Evans elected chairman Morgan 1,300 other depository financial institutions which have been sponsored by the 34 proprietary J. Evans, Lehi, president and chief executive officer, First Security Service Company, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of Plus System, Inc., succeeding Paul G. Tongue of Chase Manhattan Bank. Plus System, Inc., headquartered in Denver, was formed in April of 1982 by an alliance of 34 of the nation's largest banks to form the Plus System automated teller network, the largest such network in the country. The system also includes nearly Morgan J. Evans ' members. The Plus System network now includes more than 3300 qualifies ATMs which are available to more than 24 million Plus System account holders. During July more than 300,000 interchange transactions were completed by Plus card holders. First Security Company is the service organization of First Security Corporation, a financial service company conducting banking, real estate lending, leasing and insurance operations in 12 western states. Its banking operations serve Idaho and Southwestern Utah, Wyoming through 165 offices. subsidiaries of the corporation conduct financial service area operations in a through 42 offices. First Security Corporation is one of the 34 proprietary members of the Plus System automated teller network.
