Giddings celebrates 90th birthday In celebration of her ninetieth birthday, Berneice C Giddings of American Fork was feted on a number of occasions by her children, grandchildren, ' and friends. Mrs. Giddings, wife of the late Luther EL Giddings, was bom July 23, 1893, in San Bernardino, California, where her parents, Lucian D. and Olive Chipman Crandall, were early colonizers. Center Street in Pleasant Grove will be held Aug. 1, according to James Cummings the business who will with his wife, Cathy. Owners of the new shop are Ben and Glen Hopkin. Grand Opening specials will include free dry with wash on the opening day through Aug. 7; regular $1.25 a pound dry cleaning for 75 cents a pound with coupon through Aug. 7; and regular 75 cents a pound drop bundle wash will be 50 cents a pound with a coupon, through Aug. 7. Services offered include dropping your bundle of dry cleaning at the shop as they will dry clean for you, and drop bundle wash where you can leave your clothes to be washed and they will wash, dry, fold and place shirts on hangers. The, new laundry features new fast washing Speed Queen washers with stainless steel tubs. They have over 40 sets of machines including six super capacity washers and dryers. Prices are 75 cents to wash and 50 cents to dry in the regular machines. Coin-O- w r. Cummings said that the laundry will be a first class shop with competitive prices. The decor of the building will be such that customers will feel as comfortable as they would at home. The owners have over 20 years laundry experience in the coin-oMr. p business. Video games, pop machines and other forms of entertainment are planned for use of customers as they wait. An attendant will always be on duty. Although the drop bundle service does not include starching and ironing, a wrinkle steamer is available to the customers. The builder of the new laundry is ? Bernie Hopkin of California. Mr. Cummings said that the business wants to be a real asset to the community and a place they will be proud of.
