Show Mi Itaim Unite to Construct Richard Felt Visits From Boston eautiM Hot Stake Center Here Work on the Lehi Stake Cenpushed as rapidly ter Is being as possible in order to get the roof on before the weather gets too bad. After the building is covered it will be possible to continue work on the interior of the building during the winter months. The brickwork on the side and rear walls is almost complete, leaving only the front of the building to be bricked. The front of the building has been left open to permit entrance and egress of heavy equipment used in the erection of the heavy, structural steel beams used on the roof over the cultural hall and the cahpel, and for the cement trucks to get into the floors not yet poured. The roof trusses are in process of being placed and once they are on, the roof can be rapidly covered which will permit the installation of plumbing and heating facilities and accelerate the work on the interior of the building. The roof over the classrooms and corridors, around the sides of the building, and the rooms to the north of the building, has been covered with a base seal to keep out the moisture so work can continue in these parts of the building during the winter months. The concrete floors have all been poured with the exception of the chapel, and the base in the cultural hall, which will be covered with wood. Voluntary labor on this immense project has been most gratifying. A total of 11,133 of labor recorded man-hou- rs have been voluntarily donated by men, women, and children of the stake. A number of the members of the Cedar Valley Ward have periodically travelled from their homes in Fairfield and Cedar Fort to paritifpate in the construction. as well as members of the church, have contributed freely of their time and equipment when it was needed. The masonry and cement work and the accelerated acquisition of heating and equipment and interior furnishings have caused a heavy drain on available finances. While past financial contributions have been very good, a noticeable decline in contributions has occurred in the last few months which, if continued, will cause concern over the bringing of the building to completion. Those members who have not paid their assessment or who are not making payments are urged to make every effort possible to meet this obligation so the construction of the building may go on to completion. It is estimated that approximately $6,000 per month must be collected from the stake during the next six months for the stake to meet its share of the expenses and be prepared to have the building dedicated on its completion. It Is the hope and desire of the building committee that the building can be completed, paid for, and dedicated by next summer. The $4 0 0,0 00 golden -- buff building with its cast-stotrim, high tower, and beautifully finished interior wil', when completed, be one of the more imposing edifices in the area, furnish the stake with the facilities for accomplishing the program of the church for its members, and will be a distinct asset to tho entire city.
