Jones attended a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bingham, a sister of Mrs. Jones, in American Fork. Nine of the 11 sons and daughters of Moroni Gerber were preesnt with their husbands and wives. Plans were made for the family reunion, tentatively arranged for June 25, in Lehi's Wines Park. Mrs. Mable Roberts has returned to her home here after several months employment in Salt Lake City. Glen Cook of Cedar Fort was awarded a certificate for five Club leadyears service at a er, also receiving special commendation for his group, one of the largest in the county. Benefit Dance Tentative plans for a Fireman's Benefit Dance to raise funds for a new fire station have been revealed by members of the department. Although no definite plans have yet been made, the Firemen hope to sponsor such a project in order to stimulate interest in the fire station and action started on one. fire-fighti- 4-- Now that the weather is becoming warmer and things are drying out. Fire Chief John Broadbent is urging all citizens to take the initiative in clearing up unsightly and dangerous weed piles and rubbish. Weeds and rubbish are an invitation to trouble from children playing with matches, and residents should take steps now to protect their property from fire loss by cleaning them up as soon as possible, he declared. New Equipment Chief Broadbent reports that the Fire Department has ordered two new gas masks and six new heavy rain coats, with the approval of the City Council. The masks will enable firemen to enter a smoke-fille- d building building and remain as long as 30 Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Anderson, a sister and brother-in-laof Moroni, were Sunday guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Elmo Eddington.
