Tourna ment Wednesday. Highlight of the program was the presentation of the 1955 Three Championship Region trophy to team captains Arnold Cardon and Brent Dorton by A. J. Rogers, principal of Pleasant Grove High School and head of the Regional Athletic Committee. Cordon and Dorton, in turn, presented the trophy to Principal Dan Peterson, who will place it on display in the trophy case at the school. The trophy is made of blonde wood with the bronze figure of a basketball player on a crown. A bronze plaque is engraved with the names of the team members, athletic manager and coach. Members of the championship team are Brent Dorton, Arnold Cardon, Gary Jolley, Morgan Evans, Hugh Haws, Gary Holm-steaKenneth Calton, Donald Morgan, Merriel Wathen Richard Gordon, Dwayne Colledge and Roger Turner. Reed Street is the team manager, and L. K. Peterson, coach. Speakers at the assembly included Dean Prior, former football coach, Dr. Boyd J. Larson, team physician and ardent supporter; Lloyd B. Adamson, former Lehi principal now District Director of Education; Mr. Rogers, and Coach Peterson. Prayer was offered by Lars E. Jenkins of the faculty. The Senior High Band and cheerleaders were on hand to lead the student body in a rousfor the team. The Lehi National Guard has added a beautiful trophy to basketball this community's honors this season. Since that time she has been a visiting teacher. She has done a great deal of Temple and genealogical work. Mrs. Russon has done a vast amount of quilt making and other sewing and handwork. Her flow ers are her pride and she still does considerable crocheting, in cluding dainty edgings for hand kerchiefs. Her husband passed away in 1948. Since that time she has continued to maintain her home and has carried on in hospitality to her family. She is the mother of five children, four of whom are Mrs. Clarence (Hilda) living: Bushman and Mrs. Marlin Christiansen (Mildred), both of Lehi; Philip Ervin Russon, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Arthur (Velma) A daughter, Olson, Clearfield.
