Show STRIKES 'N SPARES by Al Ablett The great Ritz Classic has come and gone and again Bingham Bing-ham bowlers got their share of the money. Mickey Callisto and yours truly finished in the top ten and a number of the other boys are in the money. Phil Graham of Salt Lake was the winner when he bowled a 1626 on the last squad, beating out Ace Mori of Pocatello who had 1615. This is one time I was proud to be introduced as Mr. Bingham because I heard nothing but praise for the Bingham bowlers. Our kids on the Mullett-Kelly team won the state team championship champ-ionship as well as the Major League Lea-gue title. Russ Boren, Gus Katis, Wee Lopez, George Sluga and Ken Chestnut make up this club and they have been bowling terrific ter-rific all season. But it isn't just the Bingham bowlers' scores that make one proud of our town it is the way they conduct themselves them-selves both on and off the lanes. They are the most popular bunch any place they go. Yes, I was proud to be called Mr. Bingham. I Al 1 |
