The Tremonton 6th Ward held their March 17 party at the cultural hall Thursday evening under the direction of Relief Society president, Mrs. Dennis Miller. The theme was "Western with decorations in keeping with the theme. A lovely dinner was served under the direction of Mrs. Gordon Worley. Gary Soren-so- n acted as master of ceremonies. Jack Hales, who recently returned after recording records in Memphis, Tenn. entertained with songs, accompanying himself on his guitar. J. Golden Ward, Gary Sorenson, Nor-v- and Mrs. Lester Wheatley and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Crump. Miss Julie Juchau became the bride of Jeff Nicholas, III. A wedding luncheon was held immediately following the ceremony in Grandmother's Plare. Mr. and Mrs. Crump drove on to St. George to spend the weekend relaxing and playing golf. Guests at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Darrell Lewis and family Friday and Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Lewis and family, Mrs. Pat Tripp of Malad and Don Keaton of Logan. They came especially to attend the Bear River High School play, Hoe-Dow- el Estep and Wayne Blanchard sang songs and also conducted community singing. Square dancers who entertained were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Fraser, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Archibald, Mrs. Dar-al- d Fuller, Lloyd Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Thompson. Peggy Richardson gave a humorous reading. Attending were the Relief Society presidency, the visiting teachers and their partners. Attending a wedding cere- mony in the Salt Lake Temple Thursday were Mr. OBITUARIES Irvin Getz, of Ogden. They were special guests at several family dinner parties while in Peoria. They returned by plane and were met at the Salt Lake airport by Ron Getz. Mrs. Castleton remained overnight with her Mrs. Melva daughter, Crookston and family in Ogden before returning home. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Packer Sunday was their son, Don, and his son, Darrell, and daughter, Shelly, who had been in Pocatello attending the World Finals in Cutter Racing and Chariot Racing. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Hupp visited Mr. and Mrs. Chester Keyes in iWillard Sunday. The two ladies are sisters. A Pinochle party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Davis Rich Saturday evening. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sorenson, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Woodruff and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Riser. Following a lovely dinner, pinochle was played with prizes going to Mrs. Janet Riser and Gary Sorenson. Miss Debbie Hal of Naper-vill111. now attending Brig-haYoung University in Provo spent the weekend visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bair and family. Returning Saturday evening after spending a week visiting Mrs. Gerald Monson and new baby in Salt Lake City was Mrs. Mildred Shumway. Mrs. Grace Hales spent last weekend visiting her son Dr. and and daughter-in-laMrs. Thayne Hales and fam-- , ily in Pleasant View. She1 went especially to be with her grandson, Ryan Hales, who had returned after having medical care in the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conley Christensen were Mr. and Mrs. John Christensen and two children of North Ogden. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Rick (Cindy) Barney and Mr. and Mrs. Alan (Cheri) Chournos and family in Salt Lake City Saturday rwere Mrs Celia Bennett and sons, Kelly and ; John, and daughter, Jennifer. Kathy and Michelle Puzey of Roy spent Friday and "Pajama Game" where ; Shelly Lewis was one of the participants. Monday evening Bishop and Mrs. Carl Ashby entertained at a dinner party at their home honoring their son, Reed Carl, who was observing his fourteenth birthday. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. Edwin Olsen, Mr. and Mrs,. Larry Olsen and son, Chad, and daughter, Kimberly, of The Tremonton-Garlan- g Q O O Mrs. Leah Rogers Oyler, of East Garland, died Saturday, March 19, 1977, at her home of cancer. Mrs. Oyler was born Sept. 13, 1900, in Honeyville, Utah, a daughter of George T. and Permilla Boothe Rogers. She was married to LeRoy Oyler on April 23, 1919, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 4, 1970. She was reared and educated in the Bear River Valley. She was a member of the Garland East LDS Ward and had served as chorister, Relief Society president, Primary president and teacher. She had been a member of the Bear River Stake Relief Society Board, YWMIA teacher and had received an honorary Golden Gleaner award. She had been a Sunday School teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher and class teacher. She was a member of the Birthday 76, SPECIALS GOOD THRU EARLY AND SAVE! A lovely luncheon was served by the hostess. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vae Priest in Ogden Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Crompton. Mrs. Melvin Castleton respending the past ten days in Peoria, 111. where she went especially to attend funeral services for her sister-in-laBertha Getz. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, LeRoy Oyler, Jr., Mrs. Lyle (Helen) Johnson, both of Bountiful; Roger Oyler, Mrs. Jasper (Donna) Shaffer, Mrs. Leon (Erma) Andersen, all of East Garland; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, E. N. Rogers, Veradale, Wash.; H. B. Rogers, Salina, Kan.; Mrs. Permilla (Millie) Bean, Layton; Mrs. Gus (Ethel) Forsberg, Garland. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Garland East Ward Chapel with Bishop R. Lee Allen officiating.
