Following this year, Cezar plans to enroll in college and continue his education in Brazil for five more years; that is if he doesn't decide to return to the United States some day. As winter approaches, Cezar is readily anticipating the first snowfall. He has never seen snow, but is already planning his first skiing trip. In Brazil, the weather maintains a comfortable 60 degrees, with 38 degrees being the coldest temperature usually reached. Meals are also quite different for Cezar, but not actually the foods. In Brazil, breakfast is very light, while lunch is the biggest meal of the day. The student lists soccer and tennis as his hobbies. He also likes football, rodeos and cowboys, but only as a spectator. He especially likes to travel and get to know other people's cultures. With three weeks of Utah living under his belt, Cezar has already found out that Americans are just a little different from the people in his native home of Brazil. Cezar hails from Santa Maria, Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande Do Sul. The southern Brazil city has a population of 200,000, most of which are students, according to Cezar. Santa Maria is the home of a college and the second Air Force Base in Brazil. Cezar comes from a small family. He has one brother. His father is a cattle rancher by profession and Cezar hopes to become like his father, so he is continuing his education in hope of becoming an agricultural engineer. At Bear River High School where Cezar is a senior he is studying classes such as Animal Science and Plant and Soil to further his knowledge in this area. Other classes include American Problems, Chemistry, PE, English Literature and Trigonometry. The exchange student has found out that the American school system differs from that of Brazil. In Brazil, Cezar handled a schedule of 12 courses during one school year. But, he says that the biggest difference in the school systems is that in Brazil the teachers change classes, not the students. The Brazilian school year is also different in that it runs frpm March to December.
