The fire over on the Louis Douglas farm caused a lot of excitement last Wednesday. It started from lightning and then the strong winds really whipped it up. It began right on the edge of Louis's grain field. The wind being in the direction it was, fanned the blaze east and away from the grain fields. It then burned up over the mountain toward Faust Valley. They finally got the fire controlled. Bruce Morris met with an unfortunate accident on his way to help fight the fire. He was riding in a jeep and going over some rough terrain when he was accident- ally thrown out of the vehicle. He sustained a broken arm and bruises.
