Sorensen, of Howell, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Marie, to Kenny White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gail White of Tremonton. The couple will be married August 27 in the Logan LDS Temple. There will be a reception in their honor that evening at Bowcutt's Reception Center, 105 W. Main, Tremonton. The reception will begin at 7:30 through 9:30 p.m., with a half-hoprogram immediately following. The bride-to-b- e is a graduate of Bear .River High School and four years of LDS Seminary. During high school, she participated as leading lady in two musical productions, and was a member of the A Cappella Choir for three' years. The groom also graduated from Bear River High School and also four years of LDS Seminary. He played the guitar for three years in the Bear River LanSir jazz ensemble. He also served two years in the Anaheim, California Mission. Miller of Fielding Man Will Wed Ogden Miss An August LDS nuptial ceremony is planned in the Ogden Temple for Edna Earl Ramsey and Norvell Wayne Hess. The couple will marry August 28. The bride-to-bwho currently resides in Ogden, 1137 Patterson Avenue, is the daughter of Mrs. Thelma J. Ramsey and the late Elmo D. Ramsey of North Carolina. The bridgegroom is the son of Mrs. Melba Hess and the late Emery Hess of Fielding. Following the performance of the nuptial rites in the temple, the couple will be honored at a wedding e, breakfast at the Hilary House in Ogden, Utah. To Mrs. Willadene Fabry, Tremonton and Mr. Charles Fabry, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Patricia Ann to George Kemp Nixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Nixon, Salt Lake City. The marriage ceremony will be performed in the Salt Lake Temple on Thursday, September 2. A graduate of Bear River High School and LDS Seminis a ary, the bridge-to-b- e junior at Weber State College, majoring in Sales Merchandising. Mr. Fifield is a graduate of Clearfield High School and LDS Seminary. He served an LDS Mission to and is now a senior geology student at Weber State College. A September 23 marriage in the Logan LDS Temple is being planned by the couple. Contest The Utah State Fair Music Contest offering $1,043 in cash prizes is scheduled to 9 be held September at the University of Utah Music Hall and Art and Architecture Auditorium. In addition to the cash prizes, scholarships will be awarded by the University of Utah, Utah State, Brig-haYoung and Weber State ' Universities, and Westminister College. The Utah Symphony Orchestra offers some winners an 16-1- additional opportunity to audition to perform at its annual "Salute to Youth" Concert, by the Utah Symphony and Deseret Season tickets for regular Salt Lake Tabernacle appearances will also go to the composition winner and first place senior winners. The International Music Sorority is also offering a $50 cash prize to the first place senior division winner. Entries must be submitted on official applications furnished by the Utah State Fair.
