One time one little lady didn't like the meal prepared for her at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Brigham City, so she decided to eat out. This isn't usually the case, however. The menu for the first day at the Tremonton Nursing Home will include orange juice, oatmeal, waffles and syrup, sausage and milk for breakfast; baked chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh peas, cranberries, fruit crisp with topping, bread and butter and beverage for lunch and homemade vegetable soup, crackers, salad, sandwich, chocolate and pudding choice of beverage for x a t It'll be a great asset to this area. din-- above is half of a typical room at the nursing home minus those . .TYPICAL ROOM-Sho- wn personal items furnished by $e resident himself or herself to make it a home. One lady commented that this was a nice operating room and she knew a good one when she saw one. "Some people get an entirely wrong idea of nursing homes," Mrs. Lundberg laughed. The positions at the nursing home are staffed with people who "really care about older people and respect them," eommented Mrs. Lundberg. "Everything possible is done in order to give the nursing home a friendly and homey atmosphere," she continued. Husband and wife teams are roomed together to give this effect. Many families like to split their mother and father because of arguments, but most cases prove that these people need to be together just like at home. According to Mrs. Lundburg, these husband and wife pairs have lived so many years together that it is better if they are kept together. Little arguments are just a way of life, nurs- ing home directors have found. One main advantage of the nursing home way of life is that people of the same ages are able to visit together as friends. "With all the interaction with others, there are very few that have that feeling," Mrs. Lundburg said.
