Peggy Nishiguchi is the laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nishlgochi of Garland. She is the student body nistorian and Laural Class .ecretary of her ward. 'She has been very active in FHA activities. Being a member since her sophomore year, she attended state FHA conventions, served as voting delegate at the convention and was f - . , m .WORK 9 , teacher. Peggy has also participated in community activities such as volunteer helper for arthritis, heart and cancer funds and March of Dimes. Wade Hall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hall of Brig-haCity. He is the student body first vice president and served as head of the representative council. He is a of the member m ; National Honor Society having maintained a 4.0 average as a senior. He is an outstanding athlete, having lettered three years in football, two letters in basketball and lettered once in track and baseball. He had the distinct honor of being captain of the football team for two years. The girls were selected among a field of about 50 girls based on marching ability, poise, appearance, and an enthusiasm for cheering. Club membership for next year will consist of senior, junior and sophomore girls. Sophomore girls were granted membership in the club this year for the first time in Bear River high history. Backing her up as vice president will be Lori Harris. Selected to serve as secretary was Shelly Lewis and Fayette Funk will perform the job of historian. Other officers include Terese Okada, degree' chairman; Christine Deakin, assistant degree chiarman, and Sherry Isaacson, regional representative. Janalee Merrell is currently representing the Bear River Chapter of FHA'ers as a state officer. At the banquet the old officers were presented th a red rose, while the new officers received a white rose. Nelson, ; 4 r . Awards Assembly Set The annual awards assembly at Bear River high school will be held May 18 at 9 a.m. in the school auditorium, according to Principal Darwin Woodbury. Top students in a variety of educational and athletic pursuits are honored.
