WILLIAM BURTON Newell Orval Payne Sr., 75 of Tremonton died April 13, 1976 at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing home in Logan of an extended illness. Mr. Payne was born Oct. 28, 1901 in South Weber Utah to, James Levi and Ida Fern-eliu- s Payne. He married Nettie Bright Feb. 21, 1923 and lived most of his life in Tremonton. He was a mechanic for Hunts Food canning factory. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, home teacher and fulfilled a mission with his wife in the Northern States. He is survived by his wife Nettie B. Payne of Tremonton and one son, Mai. Newell Orval Payne Jr. of Ft. Len-ar- d Wood Missouri 3 daughters, Mrs. William (Barbara) Brockbrader of Mrs. Samuel Ogden; LYNN THOMAS . Distinguished Service Award. He was also a member of the Tremonton Lions Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member and Vetpast commander of erans of Foreign Wars Bor-gstro- m Brothers Post. He was manager of Anderson Lumber of Tremonton where he had worked for 19 years. He was 'formerly employed by the Farmers Cash Union and of the had been Tremonton Lumber and Hardware Store in Tremonton. ... He was a high priest in the William D. Burton, Thatcher-Penros- 62, of former e, Elder County commissioner, died Saturday of a Box heart attack at Promontory. Mr. Burton was born April 14, 1913, in Cleveland, Idaho, a son of Caleb and Agnes Ransom Burton. He was reared and educated in Preston, Idaho. On Dec. 18, 1933, he was married to Aleda Elizabeth Borgstrom in Brigham City. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was employed at Thio-kCorp., and owned and operated a farm in Thatcherol -Penrose. He was a high priest in the Thatcher-Penros- e LDS Ward and had served in the past as bishop in the That-- , wards. He had also served as bishop's counselor and as a member of the Sunday School superintendency. He was a Sunday School teacher and home teacher, and had been a coach of many basketball and sofball teams. He had served as 'director of the. North Box Elder County Adult Education program for seven years, and had been county commissioner for nine years. He was a charter member of the Box Elder County Sheriff's Posse. Surviving are his widow of (Uteva) Johnstun, .Mesa, cher-Penro- Thatcher-Penrose- the Logan hospital. ' Mr. Westmoreland was born May 24, 1896, in Kings Creek, So. Carolina, to John Franklin and Malinda Isabella Martin Westmoreland. He came to Ogden in 1910 and to Tremonton in 1923. He married Blanche Edna Meeks October 20, 1915 in Gaffney So. Carolina. He was self employed as owner and operator of B.Y.'s of West Tremonton. Survivoring are 5 sons and 3 daughters, Robert H. West-- , 1976, in NEWELL PAYNE Lynn B. Thomas, 64 of Tremonton, died Thursday in the Bear River Valley Hospital of cancer. Mr. Thomas was born June 30, 1911, in Malad, Idaho, a son of John Charles and Margaret Ann Bennett Thomas. He was married to Bertha Robbins on April 11, 1932, in Brigham City. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on Aug. 2, 1956. He was reared and educated in Malad and Tremonton and had served as Tremonton city councilman for four years. He was a charter member and chief of the Tremonton Volunteer Fire Department. He was a charter member and president of the Tremon-toJaycees and received the ; one , Ariz.; and Mrs. Ray W. (Anna) Gregory of Smith-fielHe is also survived by 14 great 16 grandchildren, grandchildren, 2 brothers, Charles Payne of Ogden and Cecil Payne of Tremonton; 1 sister Mrs. Edward (Una) Price of Tremonton. Funeral services will be held Friday April 16, 1976 in the Tremonton Fifth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from 11 to 12:30. Christensen Herman MAGALINA O'PARY ' Magalina Marjani O'Pary, 87, of Elwood died April 13, 1976 in the Cooley hospital in Brigham. She was born Sept. 26, J889 to Andera and Kalikeri Stika in Korea, Albania. She married Anthony O'Pary January 22, 1922. Survivors are Mrs. Frank (Cleors) Rawlins of Brig- ham who cared for her. and Nephews, Nieces Thomas Misrasi of Corinne, Bill Misarasi of Bear River City; Mrs. Violet Smith of. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Alex (Dorothy) Mansour, Cedar City; Mrs. Frany Butler of Jerome, Idaho; and Mrs. Vern (Elizabeth) Sederholm of Brigham City. A brother Pandi Marjani of Albania. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 17 in the Elwood Ward Chapel at 12 noon. Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary Friday to 9 and Sat. 10:30 to 11:30. Westmoreland, 80, of West Tremonton, died April 13, Broadus Miller Jr., 48, died April 7 in a Salt Lake City hospital of cancer. He was born March 22, 1928, in Salt' Lake City, to Herman and Elsie Hieniger Miller. He married ' Christina Sparreboom, September 30. 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was owner of Miller Jewelry in Malad and Tremonton. He was a graduate of Bradley University, an act-p- e member in the LDS church. He served in Malad Make Presidency, member of the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce, Scout leader and executive. Survivors are his widow of Malad; sons and daughters. Steven, Douglas, , Roger, Howard, Peter, Michael, Mrs. Gary (Lynctte) Starling and Miss Linda Miller, 3 grandchildren. 2 Survivors also include brothers, Melvin E., Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Sunday Mr. and Mrs. J.B. istep were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Estep in Tremonton.
