MISS KAYE WALDRON i Wedding Date Set By Miss Kaye Waldron and Boyd P. Firth ' Mr. and Mrs. Virgil C. Waldron of Tremonton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kaye, to Boyd P. Firth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean A. Firth of Bothwell. The couple will exchange vows August 23 in a ceremony to be performed in the Salt Lake D. Temple by Elder Marion Hanks. July Wedding Ceremony J ceremony Miss Linda Kaye Graff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Graff of Santa Clara, Utah exchanged nuptial vows with Charles LaRon Mason on July 9th. The double ring ceremony was performed by Fred Syphis, uncle of the bride at the Santa Clara Ward Chapel. Immediate members of both families and a few close friends witnessed the ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra C. Mason of Fielding. A reception honoring the newly-wed- s was held at the Santa Clara Cultural Hall immediately following the ceremony. Capener Garland and his sister, Mrs. Glen Parsons in Brigham City. Dr. Capener is the Director of the Department of Regional Development of Opportunity on the staff of Cornell University. While in Utah, he met with representatives of both Utah State University and the University of Utah on phases of his work pertaining to the local schools. He acts as advisor to many of the schools of higher learning throughout the country in his official capacity. Dr. Capener and his family spent five years in India where he was in charge of the government social departments, and during his work there met many times with the head of that nation, Mr. Nehru. The early schooling of Dr. Capener was in Utah, a graduate of Bear River High school, where he was student body president, a Bachelor of Science degree and Master's degree at Utah Stale University. He then went to Cornell where he took out his Doctor's degree. He also served as President of the Cornell District including seven Branches of the Church of Jesus Christ of Iatter-daSaints in New York State. He is a graduate of the Marine Officers School in Virginia and served in the Pacific during World War II. i the background. The pet'te bride was exquisite white satin in a .brocaded gown, floor length, with a scoop neckline, empire waist line, and long tapering sleeves accented with tiny pearl buttons. Her bridal veil was shoulder length and fell from a dainty flowered tiara. She carried a white orchid surrounded by single white and long slender white streamers. Her only ornaments were a single strand of pearls with matching Attending the bride was her sister, Joan Graff as maid of honor with Nona Conley and Leona Caldwell as bridesmaids. They wore blue brocaded street dresses with empire length waist lines and carried nosegays of blue and white carnations and ribbons. Marilyn Graff, sister of the bride was flower girl. She wore a blue brocaded dress, identical to those of the bridesmaids. Ralph Fronik performed duties of best man. On display was a four tier blue and white wedding cake on a mirrored turn table. It was topped with a miniature bride and groom surrounded by wed ding bells and white doves. Refreshments were served at small tables attractively covered with white lace cloths and centered with snifters in the blue and white theme. Following the reception the newlyweds left for a honeymoon to Yellowstone Park. For her going away outfit the new Mrs. Mason chose a blue and white two piece suit with white accessories. They will make their home in Moab where Mr. Mason is manager of the Nationwide Finance Company. Mrs. Mason is employed at the First Security Bank in Moab. The young couple were honored at a wedding breakfast hosted by the groom's parents at the "Sugar Loaf" Cafe at St. George and at a family dinner hosted by the bride's parents at the Raymond Graff home. mums, ear-ring- y Brian and Emma Jean Barrus Larsen of Deweyville, are happy to have their second daughter. WILSON Happy over the arrival of their first child, a little boy, are Koss and Connie Larson Wilson of Salt Lake City. The little lad arrived August 10. PARTY The annual summer party for the Bear River Chapter of Young Homemakers is planned for Friday, Aug. 19 at 7:30. Elder Claine Ray Stenquist, who was returning home from the Northern Indian Mission, where he has spent the past two years. Also present to meet their brother were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stenquist and Mr. and of Mrs. Delos Stenquist Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Stenquist of Ogden, and Mrs. Shirley Iverson and family of Bear River City. VISITORS FROM SOUTH CAROLINA Visiting with W. A. Westmoreland and other relatives in Tremonton recently were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Stewart of Rock Hill, S. Carolina. The Stewarts are on a month's vacation and have visited places of interest in Iowa, the Dakotas and also Bear Lake and Yellowstone Park. The Stewarts left Tremonton Tuesday and planned to sight see in Salt Lake City, and the canyons in Southern Utah. A delicious Jbreakfast of pancakes, ham, eggs and hot chocolate was served by Mrs. James Shumway, chairman, Mrs. Harold Peterson, Mrs. W. C.
