The doctor's degree will he awarded to 10, the master's degree to 256, the bachelor's degree to 826 and the associate degree to 72. When added to the 1927 who received degrees at the spring convocation, the total for the year from BYU comes to 3091. Bowcutt cabin in Logan Canyon Thursday evening. A delicious chicken dinner was enjoyed by fifteen couples. The Ladies Self Culture Club "Breakfast held their annual party" at the lovely summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Petersen in Logan Canyon Thursday morning. Over twenty members were present. Lewis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lewis of Tremonton with a vocal solo, Vicki Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hansen of Fielding with an acrobatic act and Angela Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ballard Harris of Tremonton were the winners of the Junior Division. To represent the Intermediate Division at the Fair show will lie Trudy Okada, with an accordion solo, her sister, Connie Okada with a piano solo and Tina McMurdic with a novelty tap dance. The Okada girls arc daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bebe Okada of Penrose, and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McMurdie of Tremonton are Tina's parents. Winners in the Senior Division are Miss Kathy Oyler, with a vocal solo, a vocal trio with Dawn Francom. Caroline Cannon and Emille Marble, and an instrumental trio with Nord and Brycc Petersen with guitars and Maxine W. Demming with an accordion, all of Penrose. Mrs. Keith Anderson of the North Box Elder Farm Bureau was in charge of the contest, which brought many fine contestants to the tryouts. She was born Oct. 30, 1898 in Aurora, Utah, a daughter of John F. and Sarah E. Broad-heaCurtis. She is a former school teacher of this valley. She married Earl F. Watkins Dec. 24, 1924 in the Logan LDS Temple.- They made their home in Tremonton and later in Buhl. Ida. She was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. A. G. 'Helen) Hawkins, Provo; Mrs. George (Jean) Cubbedge, Santa Susanna. Calif.; one son, Donald Watkins. Kodiak, Alaska; also nine grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters. Leno Curtis.
