Virgil Harris PORTAGE DEWEYVILLE. by Aileen Fryer Dewey Family Gathers Witb 95 Present Saturday Mrs. Azella Gibbs Leaves Hospital Azella Gibbs was returned to her home Thursday from the LDS Hospital in Logan by her husband David P. Gibbs and her daughter, Mrs June Denny. Golden Willie of Malad stake high council and Don Harding, who recently returned from the British Mission, were speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. George Gardner and family of Parma, Idaho visited Saturday through Tuesday, with Mrs. Gardner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Roderick. Mrs. Dana Stephenson of Malad spent several days this week as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Knudsen attended the High School graduation exercises at Downey, Idaho Monday. His brother, Dennis, was Logan. Their home is in McGill, Nevada and James and Kendell are students of Utah State University. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rose and children, Stephen and Lisa of Og-de- n were Sunday guests of Bert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rose. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hoskins and family of Layton visited Sun- -' day with Murray's mother, Mrs. Ladetha before they Hoskins, leave this week for a vacation trip to Florida where they plan to visit with Mrs. Hoskins' mother and other relatives for three weeks. Sheila Morris, Marva Jean Parkinson and Kathleen Harris spent Friday in Provo where they took entrance tests at B.Y.U. Erma Madsen and daughter Jan of Pleasantview, and Gloria Gleed and daughter Denece of Malad visited Thursday with Maude Harris. Mrs. Louise Allen went to Og- den Monday to see her daughter Mrs. Jay Allen and sons a graduate. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. James Hill and son Michael and Kendell Horton of Tremonion. Dewey family met for their annual reunion they soon found that it took a recreation hall to hold them. There were 95 members present Saturday. The program was arranged so of Los Angeles, Calif., who arrived in Ogden by plane this week for a visit with relatives. Her husband will arrive in a few days. Ward Primary officers, teachers and children enjoyed a canyon party Monday afternoon. The older children participated in a hike and younger ones were en tertained with games. John of Cherry Creek visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. David P. Gibbs. Mrs. J. C. Gibbs, Eliza Knud sen and Nassie Moon went to Salt Lake City Thursday to see Mrs. Manlda K. Flint at the St Marks hospital. They report that her condition is improved. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gibbs, Nassie Moon and Mrs. Flossie Munson of Fielding went to Salt Lake City Sunday and visited with her. J. C. Gibbs made a business trip to Brigham Citv Mondav. Mr. and Mrs. Ora H. John were Ogden visitors Monday. Wendell McCann, 17. and John McCann, 16, received Eagle Scout Awards at a National Court of honor held in the Portage Ward Thomas W. Tuesday evening. Richards, advancement chairman of Malad District, presented the honors assisted by Herman Miller, District Commissioner. that their lineage could be traced place individual awards for back to Mr. Dewey and his families. Dinner was served and of ficers elected for the coming year. Barnard family almost needed all of Box Elder Park for their gathering last week. There were 52 present for meals, visiting and play. The outing was held in honor of S. Sgt. and Mrs Gerald Swan-de- r and their girls, Alana and Kimberly, recenty returned from three years duty in Newfoundand. They will now be making their home near Los Angeles, where Sgt.
