Show POSTMASTER AT BINGHAM NAMED Edwin W. Johnson, 64, former mayor and city councilman of Bingham Canyon, has been appointed ap-pointed acting postmaster of the Bingham iPost Office, it wa3 announced an-nounced Monday. Mr. Johnson succeeds Earl T. James who held the position for 20 years. Mr. James resigned last year to accept an assistant postmaster's post-master's post at Clearfield. Mrs. Amy Snow has been acting postmaster post-master for the past year. Mr. Johnson served as Bingham's Bing-ham's mayor for three two-year terms from 1939 to 1945. Prior to that time he was a city councilman coun-cilman from 1933 to 1936. lie has ibeen employed in the Bingham area as meatcutter and merchant since 1912 and was recently re-cently associated with the Bingham Bing-ham Mercantile Company. He served on the Selective Service Board during World War II. Mr. Johnson resides at 1 Heas-ton Heas-ton Heights, Bingham, is married and the father of 'four daughters. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints serving as ward clerk of the Bingham Ward for the past year. He also is a former member of the Bingham Lions Club. |
