Show BUY BONDS FOR XMAS GIFTS The Treasury Department is ready for Christmas gift shoppers this year with a new, streamlined stream-lined if not jet propelled Series E Savings bond, and a new gift envelope to fit its smaller size, according to W. Russell Anderson, Ander-son, Bingham District savings bonds chairman. The envelope, in pastel blue and pink, bears the label that is now traditional for savings bonds: "The Gift that Keeps on Giving." On the reverse side is a space for an inscription: in-scription: "To... .From" and the slogan: "A Gift Today for a Bright Tomorrow", the chairman said. "The state office of the U. S. Savings Bonds Division has supplied sup-plied banks and other issuing agents with the new envelopes to pit the punch card type of E bond which has been on sale since October 1. The envelopes are free, as is the service of banks and other financial institutions that issue them," he continued. Chairman Anderson points out that savings 'bonds are equally suitable and welcome as gifts for any occasion, from the birth of a child through successive birthdays, birth-days, graduation and wedding anniversaries, as well as for Christmas and year-end bonuses, incentive and performance a-wards a-wards and anything that calls for a "present with a future'. |
