"We still need people to fill several critical vacancies. We especially need prior service people because they come into the unit already trained, with a good military mindset. They tend to make an immediate positive impact. "In spite of the fact that the 419th like most organizations is losing manpower authorizations, we're going to have to recruit more people in fiscal 1995 than for fiscal 1994," Williams said. He attributed that to factors such as changing mission requirements, normal attrition and early retirement programs. "We really need an influx of people leaving active duty to keep the Reserve strong and viable," he added.
