Show April 28, 1 994 Hilltop Times Hill AFB designated Tree City USA by Gwen Brewer Ogden ALC Office of Public Affairs Ogden Air Logistics Center has been named a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation. To garner this honor, more than 7,000 trees of all sizes have been planted around Hill AFB by the Environmental Management Directorate's natural resources team, the 649th Civil Engineering Squadron, Hill Field Elementary School students, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Tuesday, Tony Dietz, Utah State urban forestry coordinator, presented a plaque, flag and certificate to the 649th Air Base Group commander, Col. Steven Emory, who accepted the accolades for Hill d iMrfl AFB.' ' "I'm accepting these honors on behalf of the Hill Field Elementary School students, Hill AFB Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, the 649th Civil Engineering Squadron and the Environmental Management Directorate.
