When workloads are ratio needs competed, the supervisor-to-worke- r to be 1:6. In order to accomplish this ratio, it was determined some areas needed to reduce overhead and supervisory positions. The down side is this places additional administrative duties on the remaining supervisors. In some cases there is a supervisor ratio of 1:30. To allow the supervisor to accomplish these additional duties", the working leaders were created. I emphasize "working," which means leaders are required to accomplish normal workload requirements along with making work assignments and tracking schedules. This is an effective means to meet increased requirements while reducing costs. Actions such as these need to take place during downsizing and are done in the best interest of the Ogden Air Logistics Center. the day? The length of the class each day is also dependent on the success of the instructor in getting across the objectives to the specific group of students he is teaching at that time. Students may be released for study time or on any given day, the class may end early. However, the dismissal rules are quite specific. If a student is released early and one hour or more of his scheduled shift remains, the student must return to his work place. No student may go home or elsewhere without specific permission of the supervisor. If less than one hour of the scheduled shift remains, the student may be dismissed for. the day, unless the supervisor has directed otherwise. stalls? I would like to commend Wonda Marble, who runs the cafeteria in Bldg. 1289, for her honesty and integrity. I inadvertently left my wallet that contained a large amount of cash at the cafeteria, and Ms. Marble personally returned it to me in a very courteous and ex pedient manner. I offered a reward, but she refused it. She is a woman of great worth and should be rewarded for her honesty. The base restaurant staff and I very much appreciate hearing of Ms. Marble's kindness. She is the operator of the Canteen in Bldg. 1289 and is indeed a person of integrity and worth. She portrays the customer service tude which we all aspire to achieve. |
