Jack DeShields, Minot AFB, N.D., a returnee from last year's Air Force team, outlif ted any of the other camp participants, with a combined weight in the three weight of 1,930.5-pound- s divisions. Lifters competed in the bench press, squat and dead lift. Thirteen will represent Air Force in the armed forces championships in February 1988. Hill's own Richard Stewert, who had been battling back muscle MikeCurtin, spasms, finished the training camp Ariz., lets go a burst of energy with the third best lift, hoisting s overall.
