Productivity improvement initiatives pay valuable dividends during both peacetime and wartime through increased readiness and reduced dependence on scarce resources. With few exceptions, any Air Force organization can apply for productivity funds to obtain equipment and facilities. The Fast Payback Capital Investment Program provides money for general purpose equipment, office and shop. Assistance in completing capital investment funds requests and follow-u- p reports may be obtained from the Resource Plans and Management Branch, Directorate of Plans and Programs, Ext. Feb. 1. To be eligible for PIF money, proposals must cost at least $100,000 and produce sufficient operating Attachment 3.
